Originally planned as a live event, this kaleidoscopic reel of work by CMU and Pitt students is now available to stream online.
When a power outage canceled the live presentation of STARBEAM FEVER DREAM, a planned evening of video, animation, and performance, the event took a new form — as a streaming spectacle.
Created under the guidance of Professor Scott Andrew in Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Art Open Animation class and The University of Pittsburgh’s Digital Studio: Video course, the resulting reel is a lusciously luminous, light-drenched sensory overload. Featured artists from CMU include Dorian Caporal, Madeline Chen, Stella Dubin, Anna Hong, Lucas Hurley, Emma Im, Ria Itty, Charles Moodie, Kate Myers, Michelle Oh, Talin Schell, and Sarah Yun.
The event was supported by HAVEN, 401 Atwood Street, Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Art and The University of Pittsburgh Studio Arts Department.
